Nickel 718 (UNS N07718) or Inconel 718 Stainless Steel Bar is a precipitation-hardened nickel-chromium alloy containing molybdenum, iron, niobium, and small amounts of aluminum and titanium. It achieves high yield strength, high strength, good ductility, and creep-rupture properties up to 1300°F (704°C).
Alloy 718 bar has good formability, weldability, and low-temperature machining allowances compared to other nickel-based high-temperature alloys. The slow age-hardening properties of Alloy 718 round bar allow it to be annealed and welded during heating and cooling without auto-hardening.
Inconel 718 stainless steel cold rolled bar is also non-magnetic and maintains excellent corrosion and oxidation resistance, allowing it to be used in applications such as jet engines, airframe components, and high-temperature bolts and fasteners.
