Refer Stainless Steel Pipe Weight Formula
Weight (kg/m) = (OD − WT) × WT × 0.02491
OD = Outside Diameter (mm)
WT = Wall Thickness (mm)
0.02491 = Density factor (based on 304 stainless steel density ~7.93 g/cm³)
Example:
For a 304 stainless steel pipe with:
OD = 60.3 mm
WT = 3.91 mm
Weight = (60.3 − 3.91) × 3.91 × 0.02491 ≈ 5.49 kg/m

FAQ
Q:Can you send us sample stainless steel pipes?
Q: What information do I need to provide about stainless steel pipe products?
Q:Do we need to maintain stainless steel pipes regularly?
Q: Q: What is the difference between stainless steel seamless pipes and stainless steel welded pipes?
Q: Are stainless steel pipes suitable for cryogenic or low temperature environments?
Q: What does the L after the stainless steel type mean?
The "L" indicates that the stainless steel alloy has a reduced carbon content compared to the standard grade. Low carbon stainless steel offers several benefits: improved weldability, reduced corrosion susceptibility, and maintained corrosion resistance.
While L-grade stainless steels offer enhanced corrosion resistance and weldability, they may cost slightly more than non-L-grade stainless steels.
Q: What is the difference between stainless steel and regular steel?
Q: What are the characteristics of stainless steel?
Q: What forms do you have of stainless steel?

Beveling
Beveled stainless steel tube is angled at one end to mate with a complementary tube end. In some applications, tubes can be beveled to make it easier to weld stainless steel tubes, which can save weld preparation time and money compared to hand cutting.
Heat Treating and Annealing
GNEE STEEL can heat treat some of its 400 series stainless steel seamless tubes. Heat treating creates stresses due to hardening, depending on the chemistry of the metal being treated. Heat treating is also used for tempering, quenching, normalizing, and solution annealing.
Honing and Turning
During the honing/turning process, an abrasive rotating tool removes metal from the inside surface of a cylinder, pipe, or tube. The primary purpose of honing is to machine the surface to a specific diameter and/or desired cylindrical geometry design. Honing is typically a secondary operation used to finish a product/part, relieve stresses created during production, or correct features of a finished product. A typical production cycle is drilling, reaming, heat treating, and then honing.
Polishing
Positive Material Identification (PMI)
In some cases, it may be necessary to complete additional Positive Material Identification testing. GNEE STEEL can complete this testing in-house or work with an independent laboratory. Please contact us for specific requirements.
UT Testing
Ultrasonic Testing (UT) utilizes high frequency sound energy to inspect and measure stainless steel products. This helps with defect detection/assessment, dimensional measurement, etc.
Gnee Steel (Tianjin) Co., Ltd. is well-known as one of the leading stainless steel pipe manufacturers and suppliers in China. Our factory offers customized stainless steel pipe made in China with competitive price. Welcome to contact us for wholesale service.
