Hastelloy X (UNS N06002 / W.Nr. 2.4665) is a solid-solution strengthened nickel-chromium-iron-molybdenum superalloy sheet. Its key advantage is a continuous service temperature of up to 1200°C (2192°F), with oxidation and sulfidation resistance in both oxidizing (SO₂, CO₂) and reducing (H₂S, NH₃) atmospheres that surpasses that of Inconel 600 and 310SS.
It retains over 50% of its room-temperature tensile strength at 1400°F (760°C) and offers a 10,000-hour creep-rupture strength of 39 ksi (270 MPa), making it a preferred material for aircraft engine combustion chambers, transition ducts, and industrial furnace linings. As a solid-solution strengthened alloy, it poses no risk of sensitization and requires no post-weld heat treatment; it exhibits the best weldability among all Ni-Cr-Fe-Mo superalloys, with recommended filler metals being ERNiCrFe-1 (AWS A5.11) or ERNiMo-13 (Inconel 625).
GNEE offers products in thicknesses ranging from 0.025 mm to 100 mm (foil, sheet, and plate) and widths from 100 mm to 2500 mm, with cut-to-length capabilities up to 8000 mm. Surface finishes include No. 1, 2B, 2D, BA, 2E, polished, and brushed. Standards met include ASTM B435/B575/B622, ASME SB435, AMS 5536, EN 10088-2, and DIN 2.4665. Each batch comes with an EN 10204 3.1 material certificate, and NADCAP/EN 9100 certification is available for aerospace-grade orders. The minimum order quantity (MOQ) is 50 kg for sheets and 100 kg for plates; lead times are 2–4 weeks for standard stock items and 6–12 weeks for custom orders and heavy plates. Packaging complies with maritime export standards, and value-added services such as CNC machining, laser cutting, waterjet cutting, bending, and welding according to drawings are available.

FAQ
Is Hastelloy X the same as Inconel?
No. Hastelloy X is produced by Haynes International; Inconel is an ATI trademark. Both are nickel-based but differ in composition and design focus.
How does Hastelloy X compare to Hastelloy C-276?
Hastelloy X is optimized for high-temperature oxidation resistance and structural strength above 800°C, while C-276 targets corrosion resistance in aggressive chemical environments at lower temperatures.
What are the main applications?
Gas turbine components, combustion-zone parts (flame holders, tailpipes), industrial furnace fixtures, petrochemical reactors/heat exchangers, and nuclear gas-cooled reactor parts.
How is Hastelloy X Plate/Sheet machined?
Conventional methods apply, but it work-hardens rapidly. Use low cutting speeds, high feed rates, rigid fixturing, and ample coolant (water-based or sulfochlorinated oil). Carbide or ceramic tools are recommended over HSS.
