What is ASTM B575 UNS N10276 Sheet?
UNS N10276 (Hastelloy C-276) is a low-carbon corrosion-resistant alloy based on nickel. It complies with the ASTM B575 standard, covering the chemical composition, mechanical properties, tolerances and processing requirements of its plates and sheets.
Hastelloy C-276 plates perform better than 316L and 904L stainless steels in wet chlorine, hypochlorite and ferric chloride solutions, and have an oxidation resistance temperature of up to 1100°C, making them suitable for high-temperature and high-pressure equipment16. Although more expensive than ordinary stainless steel, their long life and low maintenance costs make them more economical in harsh environments
