Incoloy 825 is a titanium-stabilized full austenitic nickel-iron-chromium alloy with added copper and molybdenum. Incoloy 825 is a general-purpose engineering alloy that is resistant to acid and alkali metal corrosion in both oxidizing and reducing environments The high nickel composition makes the alloy have effective resistance to stress corrosion cracking. Corrosion resistance is good in various media, such as sulfuric, phosphoric, nitric and organic acids, alkali metals such as sodium hydroxide, potassium hydroxide and hydrochloric acid solutions. Incoloy 825's high overall performance is demonstrated in a nuclear combustion dissolver with a variety of corrosive media, such as sulfuric acid, nitric acid and sodium hydroxide, all processed in the same facility.
