Machinability

Incoloy 907 can be machined using conventional machining methods which are used for iron-based alloys. Machining operations are performed using commercial coolants. High-speed operations such as grinding, milling or turning, are performed using water-base coolants.

Forming

Incoloy 907 can be formed using all conventional techniques.

Welding

Incoloy 907 is welded using gas-tungsten arc welding, shielded metal-arc welding, gas metal-arc welding, and submerged-arc welding methods.

Heat Treatment

Incoloy 907 is heat treated by annealing at 983°C (1800°F).

Forging

Incoloy 907 is forged at 927 to 1149°C (1700 to 2100°F).

Hot Working

Incoloy 907 is hot worked at 885 to1149°C (1650 to 2100°F).

Cold Working

Incoloy 907 is cold worked using standard tooling.
