440 stainless steel cold drawn coil is a high carbon martensitic stainless steel, the main components include high carbon (0.95%-1.20%) and high chromium (16%-18%), and also contains a small amount of manganese, silicon, molybdenum and vanadium.
440 stainless steel coil is mainly divided into three subtypes: 440A, 440B and 440C, of which 440C is the most widely used in kitchen utensils.
440C stainless steel coil, through quenching and tempering, reaches an ultra-high hardness of HRC 58-62, which is better than 304 stainless steel (HRC 20-25), reducing the need for frequent sharpening. Suitable for tools such as kitchen knives and fruit knives that need to remain sharp for a long time.
