Introduction of ferritic stainless steel continuous casting process

   Under the same working conditions, materials with smaller cross-sections can be used to save costs. Ferritic stainless steel does not contain nickel (special ones only contain a small amount) and has lower costs. Therefore, the production and application of ferritic stainless steel have attracted people's attention.
The continuous casting process of ferritic stainless steel is relatively special. Unreasonable control can easily lead to surface cracks, bulging, internal crack bulging, central segregation, and low equiaxed crystallization rate. The following points should be noted during the production process:
1. Large ladles are made of high melting point materials (chromium oxide, aluminum oxide, etc.). In the ferritic stainless steel melt, the viscosity of the steel is relatively large, which reduces the viscosity of the steel. Long nozzles are prone to nucleation and freezing. Therefore, it should have an independent ladle cover function to reduce the temperature drop of the steel during the casting process.
