Product Description of 316 STEEL PIPE
SS 308 welding rod is designed with a chemical composition of 20% chromium with 11% nickel. A 316 welding rod is produced consisitng 16% chromium, 12% nickel, and 2% molybdenum.
The 308 grade has a lower carbon content than the 316 SS grade, thereby preventing intergranular corrosion in the system.
ASTM A312 Tp316 is available only in seamless types. ASTM A213 Tp316 is available in a seamless and welded configuration.
Stainless steel 316 pipes are widely manufactured in seamless, welded, and erw modules. The configurations can be distinguished based on key features.
Erw pipes are produced by cold rolling flat strips and then passing them through a series of dies to form a longitudinal seam.
