What's the difference between 1.4303 stainless steel cold-rolled tube and 1.4301?
1.4303 stainless steel has a slightly lower carbon content (≤0.06%) than 1.4301 (≤0.08%), which enhances its resistance to intergranular corrosion after welding. Both are austenitic stainless steels with good corrosion resistance and formability, but 1.4303 is more suitable for applications requiring excellent weldability and higher resistance to sensitization, such as medical equipment, food processing, chemical piping, and architectural components. 1.4301, on the other hand, is widely used for general structural and decorative purposes.
