AISI Stainless Steel 321 Pipe is austenitic stainless steel it is similar to Grade 304 but the addition of titanium is at least five times the carbon content and provides good corrosion resistance. After exposure to temperatures in the chromium carbide precipitation range of 800 - 1500°F it provides excellent resistance to intergranular corrosion. It has higher creep and stress rupture properties than Grade 304 and 304L and it resists oxidation to 1500°F and it acquires good low temperature toughness. It cannot be hardened by heat treatment but only by cold working.
