ASME SA268 TP410 Stainless Steel Bright Annealed Seamless Tube

​​ASME SA268 is a standard covering both seamless and welded pipes, primarily intended for general-purpose applications in moderately high-temperature and corrosive environments.​​

ASME SA268 TP410 stainless steel pipes we supply are martensitic stainless steels with a chemical composition that includes carbon (C) ≤0.15% and chromium (Cr) 11.50–13.50%. They are magnetic, and the A268 TP410 stainless steel seamless pipes can achieve a wide range of mechanical properties-from high toughness to high hardness-through quenching (oil-cooled or air-cooled) and tempering processes. On the other hand, the welding performance of A268 TP410 stainless steel round pipes is generally poor. Improper welding or post-weld heat treatment can easily lead to the formation of hard and brittle martensitic structures, increasing the risk of cracking in the welded area. Preheating before welding and post-weld treatment are usually required, especially for TP410 stainless steel pipes with greater wall thickness.​​
