Polished 316 stainless steel pipe has (Cr17-19%, Ni10-14%, Mo2-3%), and contains molybdenum to improve the resistance to chloride ion corrosion, and the low-carbon version (316L) has better welding performance.
The surface of 316 stainless steel cold-drawn tube is treated by mechanical polishing (MP), electrolytic polishing (EP) or bright annealing (BA), and the finish reaches Ra≤0.8μm (EP grade can reach Ra≤0.25μm).
