Grade 201 stainless steel is. It’s an austenitic, non-magnetic stainless steel that has been widely adopted for its affordability compared to other stainless steels. Grade 201 can be welded with ER308 or ER309/309L filler rods. These rods contain around 18%-22% chromium and 9%-13% nickel to match the base material composition.
