AISI Type 301 Stainless Steel Sheet contains 17% Chromium / 7% Nickel austenitic stainless steel. , which provides high strength and ductility when cold worked. 301 Stainless Spring Steel Sheet has excellent corrosion resistance properties. 301 SS Sheet is well suited to welding and forming and drawing. This high strength of 301 grade steel is available in several conditions or tempers. 301 SS Full Hard Sheet has good resistance to oxidation at temperatures up to 1550°F, but 301 SS Sheet is not recommended for use above 1600°F. 301 SS Sheet is resistance to a variety of corrosive media. However, it’s corrosion resistance properties are not as good as the 18-8 chromium-nickel steels.301 stainless steel sheet mechanical properties for the different tempers of 301 are obtained by cold working and not by heat treating. 301 Annealed stainless steel sheet material has a tensile strength of 75ksi minimum and is used for deep and shallow formed parts.AISI 301 Plate has good resistance to atmosphere corrosion and its bright attractive surface makes it an excellent option for decorative structural applications.
