Products Description
UNS S32205 duplex stainless steel plate has austenite and ferrite structure. The content of chromium, nickel and molybdenum is suitable, with about 22% chromium for oxidation resistance, about 5-6% nickel for toughness enhancement, and about 3% molybdenum for corrosion resistance. Its strength is about twice that of ordinary austenitic stainless steel. Compared with austenitic stainless steels such as 304L, 316L and 317L, the use of S32205 is less restricted.
S32205 duplex stainless steel cold-drawn plate is widely used in chemical, petroleum, marine engineering, food processing and other fields. It is resistant to high temperatures up to 200°C, has good welding and polishing properties, and usually does not require heat treatment.

2205/S32205 Duplex Steel Plate can be cut by oxygen cutting, plasma cutting or laser cutting, but care should be taken to avoid excessive heat during cutting to avoid affecting its performance. Bending can be performed at room temperature, but excessive bending should be avoided, otherwise hydrogen-induced cracking will occur.
S32205 has good weldability and can be welded by arc welding, laser welding or plasma welding, but care should be taken to control the welding parameters to avoid the precipitation of harmful metal phases, which will affect the performance of the material.
