This heat-resistant grade of stainless steel has a maximum dry air operating temperature of 850°C.
The added titanium content is a minimum of five times the carbon content (maximum 0.7%), which means that the 321 grade also has good creep strength, good resistance to chromium carbide precipitation and is resistant to dry air use up to 850°C. It has strong resistance to oxidation and intergranular corrosion.
