The ASTM A240 UNS S32001 duplex stainless steel plates we supply are produced through electric arc furnace melting combined with AOD/VOD refining to precisely control chemical composition. The slabs are heated to approximately 1200°C for hot rolling, or cold rolled after pickling. They are then solution annealed at 1020–1100°C followed by rapid water quenching, achieving a ferrite-to-austenite ratio close to 50:50. The yield strength exceeds 450 MPa, which is approximately twice that of 304 stainless steel. Its corrosion resistance is comparable to 316L, while its resistance to stress corrosion cracking is superior to both 304 stainless steel and 2205 duplex stainless steel, making it suitable for harsh environments such as coastal high-salinity areas and wastewater treatment systems.

 

 

At the same time, the nickel content of S32001 duplex plates is only 1.00%–3.00%, approximately 70% lower than that of 316L, reducing procurement costs by 30%–40%. It has already been widely applied in prefabricated construction, rail transit, and other industrial sectors.

 

UNS S32001 stainless steel plates are available in hot rolled condition (No.1 surface), cold rolled condition (2B/BA surface), and solution annealed condition. The thickness range covers 0.25–100 mm, with widths up to 3000 mm. Customized processing services such as cut-to-length, pickling, and polishing can also be provided to meet the dimensional accuracy and surface quality requirements of different industrial applications.
