SUS 347 (UNS S34700) is a stable austenitic stainless steel containing niobium, ensuring excellent intergranular corrosion resistance even in the high-temperature welding and sensitization ranges between 427°C and 816°C. SUS 347 stainless steel plates also exhibit outstanding oxidation resistance at temperatures up to 870°C, making them suitable for applications such as boilers, heat exchangers, and furnace components.

What is the difference between stainless steel 347 and 347H?

The main difference between 347 stainless steel and 347H stainless steel lies in their carbon content. 347H (0.04-0.10%) has a higher carbon content than standard 347 (0.08%). The higher carbon content gives 347H superior creep strength and better performance at temperatures above 1000°F (538°C), while 347 is more suitable for low-temperature, highly corrosive environments.
