With a maximum carbon content of ≤0.03% (lower than 304's ≤0.08%), 304L chequered plates resist carbide precipitation after welding without the need for additional heat treatment, effectively preventing intergranular corrosion. These plates offer a tensile strength of ≥485 MPa and a yield strength of ≥170 MPa, performing better in strength compared to flat sheets of the same thickness. They are suitable for applications requiring stringent corrosion resistance, such as food processing equipment countertops, pharmaceutical cleanroom floors, and coastal construction treads.
