The yield strength of 2205 duplex stainless steel is more than twice that of ordinary austenitic stainless steel. This feature allows designers to reduce weight when designing products, making this alloy more price advantageous than 316 and 317L. This alloy is particularly suitable for use in the -50°F/+600°F temperature range.
Alloy 2507 is a superduplex stainless steel containing 25% chromium, 4% molybdenum and 7% nickel, designed for demanding applications requiring superior strength and corrosion resistance, such as chemical processing, petrochemical and seawater equipment.
904L stainless steel has made some changes on the basis of 316L stainless steel. In terms of composition, 904L stainless steel has 1.6 times more chromium, nickel, and molybdenum than 316L stainless steel. At the same time, 904L stainless steel has more copper.
