The main component of 430 ss beam is ferritic stainless steel, containing 16-18% chromium (Cr). Its corrosion resistance is slightly inferior to austenitic stainless steel, but better than martensitic stainless steel, and it has excellent high temperature corrosion resistance and stress corrosion cracking resistance.
430 stainless steel i section has good processing performance and can be formed and welded by various processing methods. The mechanical properties of its weld are good and suitable for automated production and processing. 430 stainless steel i beam may experience "475℃ embrittlement" in a continuous high temperature environment (such as around 475℃), affecting its ductility and toughness, so special attention should be paid when using it in a high temperature environment.
