Product Description of317L STAINLESS ROD
Grade 317L is considered to be an improvement or a modified version of marine grade stainless steel.
Marine-grade steel is alloy 316, which contains molybdenum content below 3%.
The improvisation in the alloy of 317L stainless steel round bar is mainly a higher content of molybdenum along with an increase in molybdenum as well.
The modification in its chemistry yields an alloy with tougher and stronger properties.
Predominantly, properties of the 317L stainless steel rods like tensile strength and pitting resistance seeS a major leap.
While the PREN of alloy 316 is valued at 24.2, the same property of the 317L stainless steel welding rod is valued at 29.7.
