Fermonic ® 50 – Annealed is a nitrogen-strengthened austenitic stainless steel supplied in the annealed condition. Its yield strength is nearly twice that of common austenitic stainless steels such as Alloy 304 and Alloy 316L, allowing for reduced cross-sectional areas, thus reducing weight and cost.
Higher strength is achieved through cold working. Importantly, even after severe cold working, it remains fully austenitic and is therefore completely non-magnetic.
