Nitronic 60 high-strength stainless steel bar is a completely austenitic structure, non-magnetic, excellent low-temperature toughness (no brittle fracture at -196°C), molybdenum-free and resistant to medium-concentration chloride ion corrosion, and has better pitting resistance than most traditional austenitic stainless steels. In high-frequency vibration or cyclic load scenarios (such as mechanical transmission parts), fatigue life is 40% higher than 316L, reducing maintenance costs.
Nitronic 60 stainless steel cold-rolled bar supports argon arc welding (TIG) and plasma welding. It is recommended to use nitrogen-containing welding wire (such as ER312 or customized welding materials). No heat treatment is required after welding, and the corrosion resistance of the weld is close to that of the parent material.
