SUS316 stainless steel bar is austenitic stainless steel, which has better stress corrosion cracking and pitting resistance than SUS304, and is suitable for seawater pumps, ship parts, etc. It contains elements such as nickel and molybdenum, and has a viscous processability and poor cutting performance, but has strong corrosion resistance.
What is the difference between 316 stainless steel bar and 304?
SUS316 stainless steel cold rolled bar is a type of steel made by increasing the nickel (Ni) content and adding molybdenum (Mo) on the basis of SUS304. Therefore, SUS316 stainless steel bar has better stress corrosion cracking and pitting resistance than SUS304 stainless steel bar.
