This specification specifies requirements for seamless round, rectangular and square copper pipe (UNS Nos. C10100, C10200, C10300, C10800, C12000 and C12200) suitable for general engineering applications. The manufacturing material shall be steel billet, cast rod or pipe. Pipes shall be manufactured using hot and cold working processes, shall be cold drawn to finished dimensions and wall thickness copper, and shall be supplied in cold drawn or annealed and tempered condition. The material should meet the chemical composition requirements of copper, phosphorus, and arsenic determined by chemical analysis, as well as mechanical property requirements such as tensile strength, yield strength, Rockwell hardness, and straightness. Requirements for grain size, resistivity and dimensions are specified. Specific testing methods include: grain size, resistivity, tensile yield strength, hardness test, truncated cone expansion test, metallographic examination, hydrogen embrittlement test, electromagnetic (eddy current), hydrostatic pressure, pneumatic test, etc.
