Why can 1.4845 stainless steel pipe withstand high temperature?
As a 25Cr-20Ni series high-chromium-nickel austenitic stainless steel, 1.4845 stainless steel pipe achieves high-temperature performance of 1150℃ continuous use and 1200℃ short-term tolerance by virtue of the high alloy system of 25% chromium and 20% nickel and ≤0.08% low carbon design.
In addition, 24-26% chromium forms a dense Cr₂O₃ oxide film at high temperature to block oxygen diffusion, 19-22% nickel stabilizes the austenite structure to delay creep, and the low carbon characteristics reduce the risk of intergranular corrosion, making the performance of the welding heat-affected zone more stable, making it the preferred material under high-temperature conditions.
