904L stainless steel sheets are typically supplied in accordance with the ASTM A480/A480M standard, which defines the dimensional tolerances for flat-rolled stainless steel products. These tolerances vary based on thickness, width, and edge finish (slit or mill edge).

1. Thickness Tolerances

Note: These values apply to cold-rolled sheets. Hot-rolled plates follow different tolerances.
2. Width Tolerances (Cut to Width Sheets)

Slit edge tolerances are tighter and preferred for applications requiring precise width control (e.g. laser cutting).
3. Flatness Tolerances
