ASTM A213 TP310S/310H Stainless Steel Seamless Tube

GNEE is a leading manufacturer and supplier of ASTM A213 TP 310/310S pipes. We supply precision pipes in various standards, specifications, and custom lengths.

Our ASTM A213 TP 310/310S pipes are austenitic stainless steel seamless pipes with a continuous service temperature of up to 1150°C. The carbon content of TP 310S (≤0.08%) is designed to reduce the risk of carbide precipitation, making it particularly suitable for post-weld corrosion resistance or moderate temperature fluctuation conditions, while also offering good weldability and processing plasticity, as well as corrosion resistance. All ASTM A213 TP 310/310S stainless steel heat exchanger pipes undergo heat treatment, heated to a high temperature of approximately 1050°C - 1100°C. After heat treatment, the pipes are pickled to remove surface oxides, ensuring surface smoothness. These pipes are widely used in petrochemical, energy (such as boilers, nuclear facilities), and heat treatment industries.

Heat Treatment and Surface Condition

TP310S/TP310H heat exchanger tubes are supplied in the solution-annealed condition: heated to approximately 1050-1100°C, followed by rapid cooling. After heat treatment the tubes are pickled to remove surface oxides, ensuring a clean, smooth surface.

Quality Control

Allowable outside diameter and wall thickness variations follow the ASTM A213 tolerance tables (e.g., +20%/-0% wall for small diameters), with exact-length tolerances as specified. Standard tests include flattening, tension, flare, hardness, 100% hydrostatic testing, and supplementary requirements per ASTM A450. Additional materials testing - intergranular corrosion, pitting corrosion and chemical composition verification - can be arranged according to application requirements.

Standard Export Packaging

Our ASTM A213 TP 310/310S seamless pipe is available in bare or coated form, and can be capped. Pipes with an outer diameter of 3 inches or less will be supplied in bundles. To prevent rusting during sea transport, the bundled ASTM A213 TP 310/310S stainless steel seamless pipes are wrapped in polypropylene film and secured with flat steel strapping. Pipes with an outer diameter greater than 3 inches will be supplied in bulk.

FAQ

Q: What is the difference between TP310S and TP310H?
A: The main difference between TP310S and TP310H stainless steel pipe and tube grades lies in their carbon content. TP310S has a lower carbon limit (max 0.08%) for better weldability and corrosion resistance, while TP310H has a controlled higher carbon range (0.04–0.10%) for superior high-temperature creep strength.

Q: What is the maximum service temperature of 310S?
A: The maximum service temperature for 310S stainless steel is up to 1,150°C (2,100°F) in continuous service and approximately 1,035°C to 1,040°C (1,900°F–1,975°F) in intermittent service under oxidizing conditions. [1, 2]

Q: Are TP310S tubes supplied annealed?
A: Yes, TP310S stainless steel tubes are generally supplied in the solution annealed condition (often via bright annealing) to ensure optimal mechanical properties, maximum corrosion resistance, and proper hardness levels for fabrication.
