What is ASTM A213 TP316L heat exchanger tube?
TP316L stainless steel tube, compliant with ASTM A213/A213M (ASME SA213), covers seamless ferritic and austenitic boiler, superheater, and heat exchanger applications. This grade of tube is manufactured using a seamless process and cold-finished to specifications. It has a circular cross-section and a standard length of 15,000 mm, suitable for high-temperature and high-pressure fluid transmission.

 

Chemical Composition:

According to ASTM E1086-14/ASTM A751-14a (ICP-OES) & ASTM E1019-11.

Tensile Requirements

According to ASTM A370-17.

Heat treatment:
Temperature: ≥1040℃.
Cooling: Rapid-cool.

Delivery Condition
Bright Annealed.

Marking Including Standard, grade, size, Lot no. Heat No. Manufacture name.

Note:
Mill test certificates will be issued according to EN10204.3 3.1 or 3.2.
All tubes shall be supplied as per applicable ASTM A213 /A213M Specification.

 

Flaring Test
According to ASTM A370-17.
Equipment: LX-202-52 Compression-testing machine.
Result: Flaring ratio:21%, Angle: 60°, D (inside): 41.37958mm, accurate date: 42.05mm result is no cracks or breaks.

Rockwell hardness Test
According to ASTM A370-17.
Equipment: LX-204-59 Rockwell hardness tester.
Result: Average 75HRB

Flattening Test
According to ASTM A370-17.
Equipment: LX-202-52 Compression-test machine.
Flattening factor: 0.09.
Result: H1: No cracks or breaks, H2: No stratification.
Hydrostatic Test
Each pipe shall be subjected to the hydrostatic test.
P(Mpa): 7.0
Time(s): 10
Result: ok
Non-Destructive Test
T test result is ok.
