Our ASTM A268 TP420 is a martensitic stainless steel tube (UNS S42000) designed for boilers and heat exchangers, fully compliant with the ASTM A268 standard as well as boiler and pressure vessel material standards. Compared with traditional materials, it can extend the service life of boiler and heat exchanger components by over 50%.
The continuous service temperature of ASTM A268 TP420 stainless steel round tubes reaches up to 600℃, which can maintain structural stability even under the long-term high-temperature and high-pressure conditions of boiler flue gas and heat transfer media (with an operating pressure up to 8 MPa). Its yield strength ≥345 MPa and tensile strength ≥520 MPa are 40% and 30% higher than those of ordinary carbon steel tubes respectively, effectively resisting deformation caused by thermal expansion and contraction during equipment startup and shutdown.

In a saturated steam environment (180℃, 1 MPa), its corrosion rate is as low as ≤0.03 mm/year. Far lower than the 0.15 mm/year of carbon steel tubes, ASTM A268 TP420 stainless steel boiler tubes effectively prevent the risks of tube wall thinning and leakage. These steel tubes feature excellent thermal fatigue resistance, capable of withstanding no less than 500 cycles of rapid temperature changes (from 600℃ to room temperature) without cracking. With a smooth inner wall (surface roughness Ra ≤1.6 μm), they can reduce fluid resistance by 15% and improve heat exchange efficiency by 8%–10% compared with ordinary steel tubes.
