Cold Rolled 201 J1 J2 J3 J4 Stainless Steel Coil.Video

1. What is 201 J1/J2/J3/J4 cold-rolled stainless steel coil?
201 J1/J2/J3/J4 belongs to the 200 series austenitic stainless steel, which is produced into coiled plates through the cold rolling process. It is characterized by high manganese and low nickel (Ni 3.5-5.5%), and the carbon content gradually decreases (J1≤0.15%→J4≤0.03%). It is suitable for scenes such as interior decoration, hardware products, and home appliance shells that do not require high corrosion resistance but require low-cost molding. Each model adjusts the content of Mn, Ni, and C to balance strength, toughness, and processing performance, and implements standards such as GB/T 3280 and JIS G4305.

1. Chemical Composition Comparison (GB/T 24511 Standard)

Grade C≤ Ni Mn Cr Core Characteristics
J1 0.15% 3.5–5.5% 12.0–16.0% 16.0–18.0% Standard type with higher nickel content, excellent formability, suitable for deep drawing (e.g., sinks, tableware).
J2 0.15% 3.0–4.0% 12.0–16.0% 16.0–18.0% Economical type with slightly lower nickel, higher strength, suitable for general bending and punching (e.g., doors, shelves).
J3 0.12% 3.5–5.5% 12.0–16.0% 16.0–18.0% Low-carbon design, improved weldability, reduced intergranular corrosion risk, suitable for thin-walled welded parts (e.g., lighting fixtures).
J4 0.03% 3.5–5.5% 12.0–16.0% 16.0–18.0% Ultra-low-carbon type with optimal corrosion resistance (close to 304L), suitable for mild corrosion environments (e.g., kitchens, bathrooms).
