EN 1.4016 stainless steel.pdf

EN 1.4016 is a ferritic stainless steel grade in European standards, equivalent to AISI 430 (American standard) and SUS430 (JIS standard). The main component is about 16-18% chromium (Cr), low carbon content (≤0.08%), no nickel or only a small amount of nickel, so the cost is low. This steel has good corrosion resistance, especially suitable for non-chloride environment, and has good oxidation resistance and forming properties, but poor weldability and low-temperature toughness.
EN 1.4016 is often used in kitchen equipment, decorative panels, automotive interiors, home appliance housings and other occasions that require cost, appearance and moderate corrosion resistance.
