GNEE specializes in the production and supply of EN 10216-5 compliant 1.4404 (X2CrNiMo17-12-2 / 316L) seamless heat exchanger tubes, with over 18 years of export experience. Our products are delivered to more than 60 countries across Europe, Southeast Asia, the Middle East, and South America, with a proven track record in industries such as petrochemical, power generation, shipbuilding, and HVAC systems.
The 1.4404 tubes supplied by GNEE are strictly controlled with a molybdenum content above 2.1% (rather than the lower limit of 2.0%), resulting in a higher PREN value (>25). This significantly improves resistance to pitting corrosion caused by condensate in heat exchanger environments, effectively extending service life and improving operational reliability.
For heat exchanger applications, we recommend bright annealed (+BT/BA) condition, which greatly reduces fouling rates on the inner surface, minimizes cleaning frequency, and lowers overall maintenance costs. We offer a wide range of specifications, including outer diameters from 6 mm to 76 mm, wall thickness from 1.0 mm to 8.0 mm, and lengths of 6 m, 9 m, and 12 m. Dimensional tolerances are tightly controlled within ±0.05 mm for outer diameter and ±0.08 mm for wall thickness.

Each SS 1.4404 heat exchanger tube undergoes 100% eddy current testing (ECT) as a standard, replacing conventional hydrostatic testing, with optional ultrasonic testing available. This ensures that every tube delivered to you is fully verified for structural integrity and safe performance under extreme pressure conditions.
In addition, we provide 1.4404 stainless steel U-bend tube fabrication services. After bending, the curved sections undergo stress-relief heat treatment and are subjected to specialized dye penetrant testing or helium leak testing. This ensures that the tubes are ready for direct installation upon delivery, eliminating the need for secondary processing or outsourcing.

Can 1.4404 steel pipe be used in high-pressure systems?
Yes. EN 10216-5 is a standard specifically for pressure applications. 1.4404 steel pipe maintains excellent mechanical properties and creep resistance even at temperatures up to 550°C. However, for temperatures exceeding 550°C, design engineers should assess its oxidation limit and strength degradation.
Is 1.4404 stainless steel suitable for U-bends?
Yes, 1.4404 stainless steel has high ductility and is ideal for cold bending. After a U-bend, stress-relieving annealing of the bent area is generally recommended to prevent stress corrosion cracking (SCC), especially in highly corrosive fluids.
1.4404 Stainless Steel Round Tubes Supplier
Our products fully comply with EN 10216-5, EN 10204 3.1, ISO 9001, PED and TÜV certification standards, and provide complete factory test certificates and full material traceability to meet stringent international quality requirements.

Packing Requirements
1.All of our stainless steel seamless pipe & tubes are packaged as per international standard to prevent any possible damage or loss. By default, we will use thick woven plastic bag to bundle the finished pipes together in batches.
2.For some special pipes & tubes that are vulnerable to dirt, scratches, stress or rough handling, we will suggest wooden case for protection.
