What is EN 10216-5 stainless steel?
EN 10216-5 applies to seamless pipes with circular cross-sections made from austenitic stainless steels (including creep-resistant steels) and duplex stainless steels. These pipes are primarily used in pressure vessels and corrosion-resistant applications. Seamless stainless steel pipes complying with EN 10216-5 are commonly used in solar energy, metalwork, household appliances, pressure vessels, chemical equipment, and more.
EN 10216-5 seamless tubes are designed based on outside diameter and wall thickness. The diameter and wall thickness of the tubes should conform to the relevant tolerances specified in EN ISO 1127. Outside diameters are D1, D2, D4, and D4, with wall thicknesses of T1, T2, T3, and T4. EN 10216-5 seamless pipes are available to exacting tolerances upon request. Our mills can meet TC1 and TC2 testing requirements.
We offer EN 10216-5 seamless stainless steel tubes in various sizes, including grades 1.4307, 1.4401, 1.4404, 1.4571, 1.4541, and 1.4462. EN 10216-5 seamless tubes can be manufactured using hot- and cold-finishing processes, and can be heat-treated for descaling and bright annealed. The internal and external surface finish of the tubes should meet the typical requirements of the manufacturing process.
