How to distinguish the surface of stainless steel?

Stainless steel has the following types of surfaces. Different surfaces have different dirt and corrosion resistance.
1. (1D) - The surface has discontinuous granularity, also known as matte.
Processing technology: hot rolling + annealing shot peening pickling + cold rolling + annealing pickling.

2. (2D) - Slightly glossy silvery white.
Processing technology: hot rolling + annealing shot peening pickling + cold rolling + annealing pickling.

3. (2B) - Silvery white with better gloss and flatness than 2D surface.
Processing technology: hot rolling + annealing shot peening pickling + cold rolling + annealing pickling + tempering rolling.

4. (BA) - The surface gloss is excellent and has a high reflectivity, like a mirror surface.
Processing technology: hot rolling + annealing shot peening pickling + cold rolling + annealing pickling + surface polishing + tempering rolling.

5. (No.3) - Has good gloss and coarse grain on the surface.
Processing technology: 2D or 2B products are polished and tempered with 100~120 abrasives (JIS R6002).

6. (No.4) - Good gloss and fine lines on the surface.
Processing technology: 2D or 2B products are polished and tempered with 150~180 abrasives (JIS R6002).

7. (HL) - Silver gray with hairline stripes.
Processing technology: 2D or 2B products are polished with abrasives of appropriate particle size to make the surface continuous.

8. (8K) - Mirror surface. Processing technology: 2D or 2B products are polished with abrasives of appropriate particle size to a mirror effect.
