Introduction of various connection methods of stainless steel pipe fittings and their respective advantages and disadvantages

There are many stainless steel pipe connection methods, the mainstream ones are compression connection, ring pressure connection, flange connection, groove connection, welded connection and tapered thread connection. They are all good and bad, and in practical situations it is necessary to find the right method.
Snap-on connection
The connection principle of this method is to use hydraulic pliers to clamp the stainless steel pipe fittings on the pipe, and at the same time use O-ring to achieve the water-stopping effect, so as to have a connection effect. Although this method is easy to operate, the pipe wall is very thin, the connection strength is as low as only about one-third of the pipe body, the pipeline can not be disassembled, stainless steel pipe port burrs, flash removal is not clean, it is easy to damage the rubber ring, and it is easy to leak water in the future.
Ring compression connection
The principle of ring compression connection is to use hydraulic pliers to clamp the stainless steel pipe fittings on the pipe, and use a broadband rubber sealing ring to stop the water, so as to achieve a good connection effect. Because this method has one more pressure pit than the compression type, the connection strength is slightly stronger than the compression type, and the pressure pit is toroidal, so the tube is easy to rotate, which will affect the overall sealing effect.
Flange connection
The method principle of flange connection is to use tightening bolts, connect the two connecting parts with flanges, and then seal the flat sealing piece to achieve the corresponding connection effect. Its advantages are high quality and stable connection strength, easy installation and removable, but the disadvantage is that the cost of flange sheets is relatively high.

Trench connection
The principle of this method is to use the nut of the tightened pipe fittings, press the stainless steel pipe and pipe fittings with a convex ring axially, and then stop the water through the tapered sealing ring, so as to achieve the connection effect. Its advantage is that it can be removed, but the disadvantage is that the process of rolling the concave ring at the pipe end is added during the installation process, the cost of the cast clamp is relatively high, and it cannot be used in the pipeline with negative pressure.
Soldered connections
The connection principle in this way is to directly weld the two connections through the hot melt process to achieve the connection. Its advantage is high connection strength, but the disadvantage is that the weld gas protection of the on-site welding port is difficult to meet the standard, and the weld is easy to rust, which will reduce the service life of the pipeline, and the installation quality largely depends on the technical level of the welder, so the quality stability is not high.
Tapered threaded connection
The connection principle of this method is to directly tighten the stainless steel pipe fittings, and tighten the two connections with the inner and outer interfaces of the conical pipe thread, and use the pressure of the connecting thread to achieve the sealing effect, so as to complete the connection. Its advantages are easy to disassemble, the strength of the connection port reaches the strength of the pipe body, the installation is convenient and simple, the quality is reliable and stable, and the thin wall of the pipe fittings leads to low cost, in addition, if the external thread interface winds the PTFE raw material tape, afterburner is required, and if the liquid raw material tape is used, it can basically ensure that the interface will not leak for a long time.
