Is 316L stainless steel food grade?

Although 316L stainless steel has good mechanical properties and weldability and is widely used in food processing and pharmaceutical industries, it is not specifically designed for food grade.
During the production process, in addition to carbon, manganese, sulfur, chromium and other elements, 316L stainless steel also contains molybdenum, which makes 316L stainless steel have corrosion resistance and high temperature resistance. The high temperature resistance can reach about 1200 to 1300 degrees, but it is not food grade.
316L stainless steel is generally used for pipelines, coastal equipment, and building exterior materials, etc., and cannot be used to make tableware.
