2. Wear resistance: Due to its high hardness, 410 stainless steel exhibits good wear resistance, which is a big advantage for cutlery, which needs to maintain its shape and function under frequent use.
3. Corrosion resistance: Although 410 stainless steel is not as corrosion resistant as some other stainless steel grades (such as 304 or 316 stainless steel), it performs well in dry environments. In humid or high-salt environments, additional care may be required to prevent rust.
4. Machinability: 410 stainless steel can be processed through processes such as forging, machining and heat treatment, which makes it perform well when making cutlery with complex shapes and details.

410 stainless steel is often used to make tableware such as knives, forks, and spoons due to its good mechanical properties and moderate corrosion resistance. In tableware production, 410 stainless steel is mainly used for:
1. Knives: Due to its high hardness and ability to maintain a sharp edge, 410 stainless steel is very suitable for making table knives and kitchen knives.
2. Forks and spoons: Although 410 stainless steel may not perform as well as some austenitic stainless steels in terms of corrosion resistance, its strength and wear resistance make it an ideal material for making forks and spoons.

Is 410 stainless steel food-grade stainless steel?
1. Low migration rate: The rate at which metal ions in the material migrate when in contact with food must be below the safe limit.
2. High corrosion resistance: The material will not corrode during food contact, thereby avoiding metal contamination.
3. No impact on food flavor and smell: The material does not change the sensory properties of food during use.
410 stainless steel can be considered food-grade stainless steel, especially when it does not involve an extremely corrosive environment. For most household and catering applications, especially in dry conditions, the performance of 410 stainless steel is adequate. However, if used in highly acidic foods or high salt environments, 304 or 316 stainless steel may be a better choice.
