AISI 316 / EN 1.4401 stainless steel

AISI 316 / EN 1.4401 material is an austenitic chromium-nickel-molybdenum steel. The molybdenum content makes it highly resistant to corrosion by non-oxidizing acids and chloride-containing materials. This stainless steel grade has low magnetization and is suitable for welding, forging and cold forming.
It is worth noting that AISI 316 / EN 1.4401 material does not have any resistance to intergranular corrosion in the welded condition.
