What is 1.4512 Stainless Steel Grade?
1.4512 grade stainless steel is the most commonly used ferritic stainless steel. Another commonly used ferritic stainless steel grade, like 1.4512, is 1.4016. Ferritic stainless steels are magnetic, non-heat-treatable steels. They contain a higher percentage of chromium compared to martensitic stainless steel grades.

Material made from 1.4512 stainless steel grade can be easily processed at high temperatures due to its heat-resistant properties. But unlike austenitic acid-resistant steels, 1.4512 stainless steel is not resistant to many acids, bases and salts.
