What is Super Austenitic Stainless Steel Pipe?
Leave a message
Super stainless steel is a special type of stainless steel. First of all, it is different from ordinary stainless steel 304 in chemical composition. It refers to a high-alloy stainless steel containing high nickel, high chromium and high molybdenum.
Secondly, in terms of high temperature resistance or corrosion resistance, compared with 304, it has better high temperature resistance or corrosion resistance, and is irreplaceable. In addition, from the classification of stainless steel, the metallographic structure of special stainless steel is a stable austenitic metallographic structure.
Since super austenitic stainless steel is a high-nickel, high-molybdenum austenitic stainless steel containing copper and nitrogen, it is a relatively difficult steel to melt, easy to segregate, crack, etc. Therefore, super austenitic stainless steel is the variety with the highest production process requirements and the most difficult, which is the concentrated embodiment of the process technology of the steel plant. Like other commonly used Cr-Ni austenitic steels, super austenitic stainless steel has good cold and hot processing properties.
1. The maximum heating temperature during hot forging can reach 1180 degrees Celsius, and the minimum stop forging temperature is not less than 900 degrees Celsius.
2. Hot forming can be carried out at 1000-1150 degrees Celsius.
3. The heat treatment process is 1100-1150 degrees Celsius, and it is quickly cooled after heating.
4. Although general welding processes can be used for welding, the most appropriate welding methods are manual arc welding and tungsten inert gas welding.
Since 904L and 254SMO super austenitic stainless steels have strong resistance to pitting corrosion, crevice corrosion, chloride ion stress corrosion and intergranular corrosion, especially to acid ions such as sulfate ions and chloride ions, they have good corrosion resistance and can be used in extremely harsh working environments. Therefore, super austenitic stainless steels are increasingly widely used.
