Super Duplex Steel S32750, also known as UNS S32750 or 2507, is a high-performance super duplex stainless steel alloy with a balanced austenite-ferrite microstructure. A galvanic potential occurs when two dissimilar metals are electrically connected in an electrolyte, with the less noble metal acting as the anode and corroding. UNS S32750 and UNS S32760 are both high-performance, corrosion-resistant alloys, but their compositions differ slightly-for example, UNS S32760 has higher tungsten and copper contents-so they don't generate enough of a potential difference when in contact to cause severe galvanic corrosion.
