What is UNS S30409 stainless steel tubing?

UNS S30409 stainless steel seamless tubes contain 18-20% chromium, 8-10.5% nickel, and 0.04-0.10% carbon, possessing a tensile strength of at least 515 MPa, a yield strength of ≥205 MPa, and an elongation of ≥40%. It exhibits reliable corrosion resistance to atmospheric corrosion and moderate oxidizing or reducing environments.
It conforms to various size and material standards such as ASTM A213, A240, A269, A312, A358, A376, and A409.
ASTM A312 TP304H stainless steel tubes (UNS S30409) are specially modified for applications above 800°F (425°C). They provide higher strength and creep resistance in applications where standard 304 stainless steel is insufficient. They are widely used in oil and gas equipment (offshore platforms, heat exchangers, subsea equipment, fire protection systems), chemical processing, desalination and high-pressure reverse osmosis systems, subsea pipelines, and the energy sector.
