ASTM A269 TP316L Stainless Steel Bright Annealed Tubing is a seamless or welded austenitic stainless steel tube that complies with the ASTM A269 standard. Fabricated from the low-carbon 316L alloy (UNS S31603), the TP316L tubing undergoes a bright annealing (BA) surface treatment, which endows it with a smooth, reflective surface, reduces surface roughness, and thereby enhances its cleanliness.
ASTM A269 TP316L stainless steel round tubing has a Pitting Resistance Equivalent Number (PREN) of approximately 18–20. In the annealed condition, it features a minimum tensile strength of 485 MPa, a yield strength of ≥170 MPa, and an elongation of ≥40%. These superior properties make it ideally suited for applications demanding excellent corrosion resistance and hygienic surface finish, including pharmaceutical manufacturing, food processing, semiconductor production, and high-purity fluid handling systems.
