sus430 has the characteristics of corrosion resistance, mechanical properties and thermal conductivity, but it is brittle at room temperature and has stainless property in the atmosphere, water evaporator and other media, but the stainless property is insufficient when the medium contains high chloride ions. It has good corrosion resistance in oxidizing acid solutions, especially in dilute HNO3. Thin HNO3 related parts can be made. It can also make oxidation resistant parts below 900 degrees, scatters, furnace parts, oil nozzles, etc. Because its brittle transition temperature is above room temperature and sensitive to notch, it is not suitable for making parts of load bearing equipment below room temperature.
