Deoiling and degreasing ss welded tubes is a treatment method that uses chemical or physical methods to remove impurities such as engine oil, fat, paint, iron oxide scale, etc. deposited on the surface of the Welded Pipe to make the surface clean and smooth.

The importance of degreasing Welding Stainless Steel Tube

During the manufacturing, transportation and installation processes of stainless steel pipes, they may come into contact with various greases, such as lubricating oil, anti-rust oil, etc. If these greases are not removed in time, an oil film will form on the inner wall of the pipeline, affecting the normal use of the pipeline. First, the oil film can prevent the formation of oxide films on the inner walls of stainless  pipes, causing them to lose their anti-corrosion capabilities. Secondly, the oil film will also reduce the heat transfer efficiency of the pipeline and affect the normal operation of the thermal pipeline. In addition, the existence of the oil film will also increase the friction coefficient between the fluid medium and the inner wall of the pipeline, increasing the resistance to fluid transportation.

Therefore, in order to ensure the normal use of ss pipes, they must be degreased. The inner wall of the degreased pipe is smooth and clean, which can improve heat transfer efficiency, reduce fluid resistance, and extend the service life of the pipe.

Two methods of degreasing ss welded tubes

(1)Chemical deoiling and degreasing method
Chemical deoiling and degreasing methods currently include alkaline, acidic, organic solvent, ionic methods, etc. Among them, the alkaline method is a more common method, which is suitable for oil and fat deposited on the surface of Welding Stainless Steel. (2)Physical deoiling and degreasing method
Common physical deoiling and degreasing methods include aerosol deoiling, water washing, shot blasting, etc. Among them, the water washing method is a simple and easy physical treatment method, which is widely used in surface cleaning of stainless steel welded tubes.
