What is AISI 410L stainless steel bar?
AISI 410L stainless steel bar is a low-carbon, martensitic stainless steel known for its good strength, hardness, and moderate corrosion resistance, particularly valued for its enhanced toughness and weldability compared to standard 410 grade due to its very low carbon content (under 0.03%), making it suitable for structural applications like petrochemical tanks, pipelines, and automotive exhaust systems where mild corrosion and high strength are needed.
We are a 410 stainless steel rod and bar supplier. We offer various types of products, including UNS S41000 rods and 1.4006 stainless steel bars. Our product range includes round bars, square bars, hexagonal bars, and flat bars. Our manufacturing processes include hot rolled, cold drawn, precision ground, and centerless ground methods. We also provide custom product services.

What is the difference between 410 and 420 stainless steel?
The key to their difference lies in one element: carbon. I always explain to my clients that you should think of carbon as the key ingredient for hardness. 420 stainless steel has a higher carbon content (typically 0.15% minimum) compared to 410 (typically 0.08% to 0.15%).
The differences between 410, 410S, and 410L stainless steel
410 is a general-purpose martensitic stainless steel with higher carbon for strength/hardness, while 410S and 410L are low-carbon modifications; 410S offers better weldability and ductility, resisting hardening and cracking, and 410L further enhances corrosion resistance and toughness, especially in welded parts, with less carbon than 410 but slightly more controlled composition for specific environments.
GNEE is a reliable supplier of 410, 410L, 410S, and 410H stainless steel round bars, typically available in diameters from Ø6 mm to Ø450 mm, and offered in solution annealed or solution annealed and aged conditions.
All stainless steel round bars are manufactured according to ASTM A276 and ASTM A479 standards and can be supplied with EN 10204 3.1 certificates.
GNEE offers various product forms, such as hot-rolled bars, forged bars, peeled bars, polished bars, and cut-to-length bars, to meet different processing and performance requirements.
For transportation and packaging, the round bars are protected with anti-rust oil, plastic wrapping, and packaged in seaworthy wooden crates or steel strapping.
