What's the difference between 420,430 stainless steel?
1. Different performance: 420 stainless steel has certain wear resistance and corrosion resistance, high hardness, but slightly poor corrosion resistance. 430 stainless steel has oxidation resistance, corrosion resistance, safety and non-toxic, poor mechanical properties and process properties.
2. Different types: 420 belongs to martensitic stainless steel. 430 stainless steel is a ferritic stainless steel.

3. Different element content: 420 stainless steel has a higher carbon content, carbon C: 0.30~0.40 Cr: 12.0~14.0. 430 stainless steel has high chromium content, carbon (C) :≤0.12%, chromium (Cr) :16.00~18.00 %.
4. The processing technology is different: 420 stainless steel can be heat-hardened, quenched and tempered to improve the hardness and surface wear resistance. 430 stainless steel can be deeply drawn treatment, thermal conductivity is better than austenite, thermal expansion coefficient is smaller than austenite.
5. Different uses: 420 stainless steel is mainly used in precision machinery, bearings, instruments, meters, transportation vehicles and so on. 430 is mainly used for nitric acid and food factory equipment, fuel burner parts, household appliances, household appliance parts, gas turbine parts, etc.
